Image
I was just thinking about our 21st. century. Being a future manager some questions pop-up in my mind - that what would be my job in the future? What should be the characteristics of a 21st. century leader? What kind of job a leader will have to perform? Etc. I’m trying to get the answer of these questions. So now let me share what I got from my research and analysis. To me leadership is all about creating a vision, vision of the future that you want to implement. Leadership is also about excite the people, motivate them, create a dream and finally ability to put all it together. We have seen the different kind of leaders’ like- Political leader, Social leader, Business leader etc. The 21st. century leader is going to be very different from the 20th.century. T he leaders of 20th. Century used to focus on command and control, but leader of the 21st. century will have to focus mainly on the collaboration, communication, co-operation, co-ordination. Perfection

Image
Let me start with a joke- A person went to a mechanic with his problematic car and he requested its trouble-shooting. The mechanic, after hearing the problem from the owner, thought for a moment, took a hammer and applied a soft stroke on the engine head of the car. On sensing a change in engine noise, the mechanic told the owner that the problem is rectified. Then he asked for a service charge of $10 from the owner. The owner was surprised on hearing the charge of $10 for a hammer stroke and expressed his resentment. The mechanic replied calmly, "Sir, I have not charged anything for the hammer stroke but charged for understanding where to strike, and behind this understanding is my expertise of 20 years". The Purpose of narrating the joke is that knowing the solution is always more important than its implementation and achievement of perfection depends on this knowledge. Experts use their life-long experiences to know a perfect solution for a problem, but that is not always

Precautions for recruiting new employee

Image
I am in Rajasthan for my Summer Internship Program. Here I have observed that almost every Small business enterprises have large turnout of their employees because most of the persons keep on trying to get employed by larger organizations for obvious benefits. In my company also the turnout rate of employees is high, so some days ego I was recruiting so me new employees for company. It is very difficult to understand the people and their behavior but it is also an essential thing in order to get effective results. Being in a hurry and fed up with large employee turnout, managers of small enterprises take-in as an employee whosoever comes their way without much of questioning, but afterward this proves very costly to the enterprise. I am sharing some of precautions which management should take care while recruiting a new employee. Take in matured persons: Matured persons are found to be more stable with their employers than younger generations. Such persons are, of c

Creativity in Education

Let me start with a real life incident. Teachers in a school found a seven-year-old boy quite odd. Though he was well mannered and never got into fights, his answers were often seen as “different”. So the teachers tried their best to “educate” him. Teacher: What does the cow give us? Boy: The cow gives us cow dung. Teacher: That’s not a good answer. You should say “the cow gives us milk”. Boy: But why, Miss? Does the cow not give us dung? Teacher: Stop acting over-smart! Why can’t you be like a normal child? I will send a note to your parents! You are the fellow who drew an amoeba in art class, right? Boy: Yes, Miss. We were asked to draw an animal. I picked an amoeba that my big sister told me about! You see, I liked it because it has no fixed shape! And it moves about using pretend feet… Teacher: Enough! Why do I get these oddballs in my class!?                      After this incident one question comes in my mind – “Is “cre

Urban Vs. Rural India

Image
Some year’s ego I was working with a project, in which I have visited different – different rural and urban places including the places of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. I have observed that there are huge differences between the urban and rural places and people. In the present time I am in Rajasthan, and here also I am observing the same differences. There are various types of differences like – living differences, work differences, mentality differences, wages differences, work hours differences, economical differences etc. These differences dividing the India into two distinct parts, one is rural India and other is urban India. These differences play an essential role in the development of these places. While my project I was keep observing and taking important notes of all the important things. Let me share some of my observation with all of you. Living: -                    You all will agree that there is a huge and clear difference in the living

Green Industry

Image
“Growth” is the topic of the moment. Everyone talks about it, everyone strives toward it. Yes, growth is essential for every country and for any economy. If we speak of a “global economy” then our industry-led growth has been the engine of it. All developed nations have harnessed industry as the main driver of their prosperity and developing nations aspire to it. But as the world is changing very rapidly so now it is apparent that this trend must also change. Now we need another kind of industry and another kind of growth. It would appear that the world of the future will be driven by “Green Industry”. What is Green industry?                     “Green industry” is an environmentally friendly industry. Green industry is producing environmentally friendly products, or products enabling Nature to recover from the damage imposed in the past, precisely by industrially driven growth. Green industry is focused on eliminating, or signif

Need of investment on Human Capital

Image
India is a developing country and it also has a large population. But like ev ery coin has two aspects, India also has merits and demerits of it. The huge population of the country can develop the country or can collapse the country also. We have seen that the thinking of human being defines the future of the country. In the earlier time the huge populations were the liability, but now it is an asset in India. Earlier the people used to see entrepreneurs with the bad eyes, but now entrepreneurs are the creator and captain of the country.                       If I talk about India then India has an abundance of human capital and is among the countries with the highest density of population. This abundant population can be India’s asset or liability, depending on the inputs that people get. But most of our institutions are just creating and helping to grow only dropouts and unemployables. These unemployables, dropouts
